Description of Fody's Turkey & Swiss Low FODMAP Sandwich with French Dressing
There is a reason why sandwiches are a go-to for lunches. They are so easy to make, pack well, and you get to have a little bit of everything: vegetables, cheeses, a protein of choice, and tangy, creamy condiments. Have you been missing that classic combo of “turkey and Swiss”? Then this low FODMAP sandwich is for you, featuring Fody Low FODMAP French Dressing!
And the bread! Did you know that you can have 1 slice of wheat bread on the low FODMAP diet? The diet is not a gluten-free diet. Here we have chosen to use sourdough bread, which while it does contain wheat is lower in FODMAPs due to the traditional fermentation process. You can use low FODMAP, gluten-free bread if you desire.
When shopping for sliced turkey from the deli counter, ask questions and read labels. It is possible to find low FODMAP turkey. Sometimes larger markets might even have very simply seasoned turkey that they roast right there, which would be a good bet at being low FODMAP. Watch out for high FODMAP fillers, such as inulin.
