Description of Fody’s CrunchWrap Supreme – Gut-Friendly Copycat

If you’re a fan of Taco Bell’s famous CrunchWrap Supreme, you’ll love our Low FODMAP, gut-friendly copycat recipe. Our version offers that same amazing burst of flavor, but won’t leave you feeling icky or bloated. Using a blend of Low FODMAP spices, and a touch of Fody Salsa, it’s safe for most (including those with a gluten-sensitivity) to enjoy. And although we kept the cheddar in for that satisfying cheesy pull, if you’re sensitive to lactose, you can always swap it out for a lactose-free version or just be mindful that you’re staying within the Monash University-recommended Low FODMAP serving sizes

Fody’s CrunchWrap Supreme – Gut-Friendly Copycat Ingredients:

  • 1 lb. lean ground beef
  • 1 tbsp Fody taco seasoning
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 4 gluten-free tortilla wraps (large)
  • 4 gluten-free tortilla wraps (small)
  • 4 gluten-free tostadas
  • 1/2 cup Fody Medium Salsa (or Mild - depending on your preferred heat level)
  • 1 tbsp Fody garlic-infused olive oil
  • 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/4 cup sour cream (lactose-free if you have a sensitivity)
  • 1 cup tomatoes, chopped

        Directions for Fody’s CrunchWrap Supreme – Gut-Friendly Copycat

        Heat a saucepan over medium-high heat and add Fody garlic-infused olive oil. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Once browned, add in Fody taco seasoning and mix until all beef is coated and cooked. Once cooked, add to a bowl and set aside.

        Add a large gluten-free tortilla to a cutting board and add 1/4 cup of Fody Salsa to the center of the tortilla followed by ground beef and cheese. Add gluten-free tostada on top and add sour cream, tomatoes and lettuce on top of the tostada. Add a small tortilla on top and fold the large tortilla into the center.
        Heat saucepan over medium-high heat and add “CrunchWrap” copycat to the pan. Let sit for 3-4 minutes per side / until each side is browned. Once CrunchWrap is cooked, add to a cutting board and cut in half. Drizzle sour cream over the crunch wraps and serve with fresh cilantro and Fody's salsa. Enjoy!
