Great Teriyaki Sauce

Love the flavor! Great way to add some zip to rice dishes.

Changed & very watery

The formula was changed on this item & it tastes horrible...leaves a bad aftertaste in your mouth. The old version was wonderful & this new one doesn't agree with my system. I truly wish they would add new options instead of replacing the original formulas.

Watery and watered down

I guess this could work as a marinade more than a sauce. It was just okay but so watery. I expected it to be thicker and more flavorful - it wasn't. It's one of the 2 Fody items we ended up not finishing. Meh...

So Good!

I finally got to try the Fody Food Co. Teriyaki Sauce that I was gifted and it definitely exceeded my expectations. When I first sniffed the opened bottle, I noticed the gingery scent right away. I love ginger so I was excited to try it. I decided to marinate my tofu before using it in a stir fry for dinner. I didn’t follow any specific recipe but used a 1/4 of the bottle into a container filled with cut up pieces of tofu and left it all to marinate in the fridge for an hour. Since I was planning to use this for multiple portions, it would still be kept at low Fodmap portion of 1 tbps. Once marinated, I added the tofu to a sauté pan. I also added some extra ginger from my freezer and some sesame oil as well to the pan. I was afraid it would be too salty but it came out really good! It added a good flavor (somewhat tangy) to the tofu and it really saturated it while it soaked in the container for the hour in the fridge. It’s so hard to find a teriyaki sauce without garlic so this was exactly what my sensitive stomach needed. I then added rice noodles, carrots and spinach to it all and sautéed it all together. It came out really good and my boyfriend who has no issues with his stomach ate it up happily. Will definitely purchase it when I run out!
